TL;DR

Software Engineer (C++) (Gamedev): Designing and maintaining networking, gameplay, and community libraries for high-scale online gaming experiences with an accent on application architecture and technical stack optimization. Location: Hybrid (Warsaw, Poland) — at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: 12,600 – 22,400 PLN gross monthly

What you will do

• Design and maintain libraries combining networking, gameplay, and community features for millions of users.
• Define application architecture and technical stacks to provide efficient tooling for game developers.
• Implement performance measurements, testing strategies, and code optimizations.
• Collaborate within an Agile environment and mentor other team members.
• Research and integrate emerging technologies and C++ best practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 minimum, C++17/20 preferred) with professional experience.
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture, P2P communication, and network/server security.
• Knowledge of system architecture and software development best practices (Git, CI/CD, testing).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• English: Proficiency in spoken and written language required.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Warsaw office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine or programming for gaming consoles.
• Basic Python knowledge.
• Experience with multithreaded programming and low-level network tools (NAT busting, VoIP).
• Familiarity with Conan, Gitlab CI, or Kubernetes.
