Infrastructure Operations Engineer

TL;DR

Infrastructure Operations Engineer (Data Center/Automation): Ensure the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of data centre infrastructure with an accent on critical systems monitoring (power, cooling, networking), incident response, and operational delivery across multiple sites. Focus on server administration, virtualization, automation tooling, and root-cause analysis to drive long-term reliability improvements.

What you will do

• Manage infrastructure projects, including installations and upgrades.
• Support deployments and operational tasks across additional data centres as needed, including travel to other Nscale sites.
• Monitor critical systems (power, cooling, network connectivity) and maintain infrastructure for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Respond to critical incidents during out-of-business hours and participate in shift/on-call coverage.
• Handle escalated customer support issues under business SLA requirements and investigate major incidents to identify root causes.
• Design and implement automation scripts/tools to optimize operational processes and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data centre environments.
• Expertise in server administration, virtualization, and networking protocols.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, or Python.
• Hands-on server experience in a technical organization.
• Advanced technical certifications.
• Ability to make decisions in ambiguous, results-driven environments and influence stakeholders without authority.
