What you will do

• Serve as the technical authority for UAV hydraulic systems, ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the design and architecture of hydraulic systems for flight controls, landing gear, weapon release, and actuation.
• Develop hydraulic circuits, schematics, interface control documents (ICDs), and technical specifications.
• Oversee integration with mechanical structures, avionics, flight control, and actuation systems.
• Define and lead functional, leak, endurance, and environmental testing activities.
• Drive R&D by evaluating advanced technologies to improve reliability and reduce system weight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Fluid Power Systems Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in hydraulic systems design and integration in aerospace or defense, with at least 4 years at a senior or SME level.
• Experience with UAV, rotary-wing, or fixed-wing aircraft platforms.
• Expertise in compliance with MIL-PRF-5606, MIL-STD-810, DO-160, and AS9100.
• Experience supporting FMEA, certification, and technical documentation for regulatory approval.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Hydraulics, Mechatronics, or Aircraft Systems Engineering.
• INCOSE CSEP (Certified Systems Engineering Professional) certification.
• Certification in hydraulic system design or analysis from a recognized OEM.
