What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP, Symfony, and API Platform.
• Build and operate serverless solutions on AWS, including Lambda, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, AppSync, Amplify, and API Gateway.
• Design schemas, analyze EXPLAIN plans, and optimize slow queries in RDS MySQL and serverless databases.
• Deliver secure, high-performing REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to AI Spec-Driven Development by writing specifications and directing AI coding agents.
• Support code reviews, testing culture, and engineering best practices within an Agile process.

Requirements

• Proven production experience with PHP, MySQL, Symfony, and API Platform.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, DynamoDB, AppSync, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and tools like GitHub Spec Kit or Superpowers.
• Strong REST API design skills, ideally including GraphQL, with a focus on security and performance.
• Solid knowledge of RDS MySQL and serverless databases, including query optimization.
• Experience with automated testing in PHP using phpspec and Behat.
