Client Fullstack Engineer (Web3)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain core IM features including real-time chat, group messaging, media handling, and push notifications.
• Design client-side architecture to ensure a consistent UX across Android, iOS, and Web platforms.
• Utilize AI-powered development tools (Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to read, debug, and modify iOS and Web codebases.
• Integrate real-time communication protocols including WebSocket, MQTT, and gRPC.
• Optimize client performance regarding startup speed, memory management, battery efficiency, and UI responsiveness.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to high-level technical design decisions for senior-level roles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Must be based in Asia.
• 1-5+ years of professional experience in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Ability to use AI-powered tools for cross-stack frontend development across different platforms.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with real-time protocols (WebSocket, MQTT, gRPC) and messaging concepts (sync, local persistence).

Nice to have

• Experience building IM products such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, or Slack.
• Proficiency in iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI) or Web frontend (TypeScript, React, Vue).
• Knowledge of end-to-end encryption, cryptographic protocols, or RTC technologies.
• Experience with large-scale distributed messaging infrastructure or Web3 applications.
