Senior Member of Technical Staff (AI Infrastructure): Designing and scaling next-generation platform infrastructure for enterprise AI/ML workloads with an accent on GPU resource allocation and Kubernetes orchestration. Focus on building cell-based architectures, developing custom K8s Operators in Golang, and integrating MLOps frameworks like Kubeflow and Ray.

Location: Hybrid/Remote. Candidates residing within 50 miles of hirify.global offices (San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Vancouver, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney, or Tokyo) are required to work onsite at least three days per week.

Salary: CAD $171,200 – $256,800 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement Kubernetes CRDs, custom controllers, and Operators in Golang to orchestrate advanced distributed AI workloads.
• Build scheduling intelligence to optimize GPU utilization, resource isolation, and container runtime execution.
• Integrate and lifecycle-manage MLOps frameworks including Kubeflow, Ray, KServe, vLLM, and Triton Inference Server.
• Provide technical leadership through rigorous architectural design reviews and setting robust engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Core Kubernetes Platform and Data Services teams to optimize storage efficiency for heavy AI datasets.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on distributed systems or AI/ML computing stacks.
• Deep proficiency in Golang for Kubernetes extensions and solid proficiency in Python for ML runtime integration.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes internals, authoring Operators/Controllers, and utilizing Cluster API (CAPI).
• Functional knowledge of distributed AI frameworks such as Kubeflow, Ray, KServe, or PyTorch DDP.
• Strong systems engineering background in Linux internals, networking protocols, and container runtimes (containerd, Docker).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
