Forward Deployed Product Manager (AI)

Location: Travel to customer sites, including classified facilities, is required as needed. The role requires an active TOP SECRET security clearance; TS/SCI eligibility is preferred.

Salary: $210,000–$345,000 USD or $200,000–$311,000 USD, depending on work location and additional factors.

What you will do

• Own product outcomes across military planning and real-time AI and alerting products for national security stakeholders.
• Translate operational workflows, customer evidence, latency and throughput constraints, and mission priorities into product direction for engineering and platform teams.
• Build trusted relationships with senior military, civilian, mission, and technical stakeholders.
• Drive deployments from contract to production in classified and operationally constrained environments.
• Distinguish product constraints from execution, integration, policy, and change-management blockers, then drive each issue to resolution.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineering and Platform Capability teams to shape cross-cutting solutions and identify expansion opportunities.

Requirements

• Active TOP SECRET security clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or customer-facing product ownership.
• Direct experience with the U.S. Department of War or the broader U.S. national security community.
• Experience shipping AI or data products into large, constrained, classified, or highly regulated organizations, including production integration and change management.
• Working knowledge of military planning and modeling/simulation systems, or real-time streaming data systems, event-driven architectures, low-latency pipelines, and high-throughput processing.
• Strong product judgment, technical fluency, stakeholder management, communication, and ownership in ambiguous, high-pressure environments; ability to travel to classified facilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML platforms, agentic capabilities, human-agent interaction, data labeling, RLHF, fine-tuning, or model evaluation pipelines.
• Hands-on familiarity with Kafka, Flink, Kinesis, or related streaming technologies.
• Startup or early-stage experience, or a prior forward-deployed or embedded role.
• Prior military service or DoD/DoW civilian experience in operations, planning, or acquisitions.
