DevOps Engineer III (AWS)

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000

What you will do

• Triage and remediate system vulnerabilities within defined SLA response tiers.
• Perform security assessments and vulnerability scans using tools like AWS Inspector and Twistlock.
• Maintain base images and automate dependency updates using CI/CD pipelines.
• Audit legacy resources and migrate configuration drift into Terraform-managed code.
• Configure and maintain network boundaries including VPCs, security groups, and firewalls.
• Coordinate remediation schedules and participate in on-call rotations for incident response.

Requirements

• Must be a US-based resident and able to pass a federal background investigation.
• 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and drift prevention.
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS/Fargate).
• Experience with DevSecOps practices including SAST and automated vulnerability scanning.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in federal environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, ATO).
• Experience supporting SAFe or scaled Agile delivery teams.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and automated security policy-as-code engines.
