What you will do

• Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI and Jenkins using build-once promotion patterns and automated rollbacks.
• Develop shared deployment tooling, reusable GitLab CI templates, and Terraform modules consumed by multiple AppDev teams.
• Manage secure base Docker images and deploy containers via AWS ECS, EKS, or Fargate with zero-downtime patterns.
• Implement pipeline security and quality gates using Trivy, SonarQube, and Open Policy Agent.
• Drive the roadmap and implementation of DORA metrics to measure and improve CI/CD capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and comprehensive documentation for engineering teams.

Requirements

• Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation.
• 8+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Git/GitLab in production environments.
• Proven experience supporting 5+ engineering teams from a shared platform function.
• Expertise in designing reusable CI/CD templates and Terraform module libraries.
• Deep knowledge of containerization (Docker) and AWS orchestration (ECS/EKS/Fargate).

Nice to have

• Experience with FedRAMP, FISMA, or ATO processes in federal environments.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification.
• Experience with multi-account AWS topologies (Transit Gateway vs. VPC Peering).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
