TL;DR
Sr. Principal Field Applications Engineer (AI/Embedded): Supporting NXP’s application processors and AI accelerators by driving demand creation and customer design-in activities with an accent on technical project coordination and system-level optimization. Focus on developing internal PoCs, performing architecture reviews, and resolving complex system-level debugging issues for high-performance SoC solutions.

What you will do

  • Promote NXP MPU/SoC products and vertical-market solutions to customers.
  • Act as the primary technical contact and coordinate project execution.
  • Provide technical support throughout the product design and development cycle.
  • Develop internal technical proofs of concept (PoCs) for new technologies and use cases.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, system-level debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Communicate customer requirements and market feedback to internal product teams.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux kernel, device drivers, and BSP development.
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-A, Cortex-M, Cortex-R, or heterogeneous computing platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in embedded hardware and software development.
  • English: Strong communication skills required (B2+)
  • Location: Must be based in Shanghai (Pudong)

Nice to have

  • Experience with Android or QNX.
  • Knowledge of the automotive ecosystem, including AUTOSAR, MCAL, and functional safety.
