Software Engineer (E-beam Diagnostics)

What you will do

• Act as a software expert for software and computer-related diagnostics on customer e-beam machines.
• Analyze Field feedback, logs, system behavior, communication traces, and reproduced issues to identify root causes.
• Develop diagnostic tools for log collection, system health checks, issue reproduction, data analysis, and troubleshooting automation.
• Build internal module test software covering module communication, test execution, result analysis, and validation workflows.
• Contribute to software involving communication interfaces, image-processing workflows, and image-algorithm validation.
• Collaborate with Field, equipment specialists, architects, application teams, and software stakeholders to deliver maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably in equipment, diagnostics, automation, test software, or engineering tools.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Python and C++.
• Experience with a GUI framework or library such as Qt, PySide, WinForms, or WPF.
• Knowledge of image processing, algorithms, operating systems, networking, device communication, and equipment integration troubleshooting.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and the ability to establish and troubleshoot Linux environments for engineering software and test applications.

Nice to have

• Experience with e-beam, semiconductor, motion, imaging, or other high-tech equipment.
• Experience with image-algorithm validation, motion-control diagnostics, module-level test software, or equipment communication protocols.
• Experience with remote troubleshooting, diagnostic automation frameworks, log-analysis platforms, or customer escalation support.
