What you will do
- Design and optimize gas turbine systems for life, weight, manufacturability, and cost.
- Perform thermo-mechanical simulations at design and off-design conditions to ensure safety and operability.
- Conduct creep, fatigue, fracture, and rotodynamic analysis.
- Perform FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) to support safety assessments.
- Review designs, simulations, and generate technical testing guidelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and identify project risks for mitigation.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong background in gas turbine propulsion, mechanical design, integrity, and/or heat transfer.
- Proficiency in FEA using Ansys, Nastran, or equivalent simulation methods.
- English: Fluent proficiency required.
- Ability to solve complex problems and prioritize tasks in a high-stakes environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in whole engine structural analysis and clearance assessments.
- Experience in bearing performance assessment.
- Proficiency in design packages such as Solidworks or Siemens NX.
