What you will do

• Design and build scalable backend services and distributed systems for production AI and agentic applications.
• Develop APIs, orchestration services, and reusable platform components, including agent frameworks and developer SDKs.
• Optimize AI infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Leverage Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, and the broader AI ecosystem to build intelligent data applications.
• Establish engineering best practices for testing, observability, and production readiness of AI systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, and GTM stakeholders to deliver high-impact AI solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in or authorized to work in the USA (Menlo Park, CA)
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python (3.11+) for writing production-quality, maintainable code.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems and microservice architectures.
• Hands-on experience building production AI applications using LLMs, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Snowflake platform (Snowpark, Cortex AI, Container Services).
• Expertise in multi-agent orchestration frameworks like LangGraph.
• Experience with AI evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, and observability.
• Familiarity with model serving and inference optimization.
• Full-stack AI development experience using Streamlit or React.
