Senior Software Engineer (Game Integration)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Game Integration): Develop and maintain engine plugins and integrations with game engines and APIs to extract game-specific data and enable features like auto clipping. Location: On-site in New York City, 5 days a week

Salary: $180K – $275K plus equity

What you will do

• Build and maintain engine plugins for Unreal and Unity to interface with game engines and APIs
• Reverse-engineer games to extract necessary data for features like automatic event detection
• Work closely with product teams in-person at NYC office
• Ensure high code performance and use profiling tools to optimize production code
• Measure feature success with A/B testing and usage metrics
• Take ownership of complex features from development to delivery

Requirements

• Must be located in New York City and work on-site 5 days a week
• 5+ years of C# experience in performance-critical contexts
• Strong understanding of Windows OS internals
• Passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming communities and tools like Discord
• Experience with code performance optimization and profiling
• Ability to take ownership and deliver high-quality features

Nice to have

• C/C++ experience in performance-critical contexts
• Experience with graphics APIs such as DX11, DX12, Vulkan
• Reverse engineering and hooking/injection experience
