What you will do

• Drive architectural decisions for backend systems and define API standards.
• Build and scale core services and data infrastructure from the ground up.
• Mentor engineers and champion the team's backend strategy.
• Design and maintain RESTful and event-driven APIs at scale.
• Develop agentic AI systems, including multi-step workflows and LLM integration.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system uptime and performance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a team lead driving architectural solutions.
• 7+ years of experience shipping enterprise software using SOA.
• 5+ years of experience building services with TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• 7+ years of experience with a strongly typed, object-oriented language.
• 3+ years of experience with message queues and pub/sub models like Kafka or SQS.
• Experience designing and building agentic AI systems and integrating LLMs into production.

Nice to have

• Experience influencing roadmaps and architectural designs across multiple teams.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools like Splunk and DataDog.
• Experience using Claude Code for AI-assisted development and test authoring.
