What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Flask.
• Architect RESTful and gRPC APIs to power web and mobile platforms.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and ensure data protection by design.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers to drive engineering best practices.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years specializing in Python and Flask.
• Strong expertise in RESTful API design and hands-on experience building gRPC APIs.
• 3+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, or Apache Cassandra) and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and task queues (Celery, AWS SQS).
• Solid understanding of software design principles, clean architecture, and Git/CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of asynchronous programming (asyncio, FastAPI) and multiprocessing in Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience with Flask extensions like Flask-SQLAlchemy or Flask-OIDC.
