What you will do

• Lead a team of 10–15 Senior and Associate financial operations professionals across APAC (MY, SG, CN).
• Scale and operationalize the global Financial Operations (FinOps) function and shape strategic priorities and growth plans.
• Monitor the end-to-end client transaction lifecycle, handle inquiries, detect exceptions from reports/dashboards, and coordinate remediation with internal teams.
• Support daily safeguarding obligations across multiple Airwallex entities.
• Monitor clearing and settlement of client funds and global money pools; improve liquidity management, fund risk management, and treasury efficiency using data-driven approaches.
• Maintain SOPs and build reporting data capabilities based on external regulatory and third-party requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in payments or operations at a technology company.
• Proven people management experience leading teams with varying experience levels.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Proficient working with data in a fast-changing environment; attention to detail and documented approach.
• Experience with MS Office; VBA, SQL, and Python are a plus; Looker and Data Studio are a plus.
