What you will do
- Develop and document detailed financial models to forecast material, labor, and sustainment costs.
- Collaborate with subject matter expert engineers to gather data and validate cost assumptions.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems and business intelligence tools to extract and manipulate complex datasets.
- Build and test prototypes of web interfaces in Excel or other tools to improve model accessibility.
- Create clear documentation and presentations to communicate cost analysis findings to stakeholders.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- 3–5 years of experience in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, or Systems), procurement, or data analytics.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cost-modeling software such as SEER or TruePlanning.
- Familiarity with CAD platforms (Creo, CATIA) and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for complex data analysis.
- Proven experience in data-driven decision making using tools like MATLAB or Tableau.
Nice to have
- Understanding of overhead allocation and cost-allocation principles.
- Experience in UI/UX design or information management.
- Background in disciplines involving synthesis of large volumes of qualitative data (e.g., history, anthropology).
- Strong grasp of descriptive statistics.
