TL;DR
Strategic Credit Associate (Fixed Income): Support research, underwriting, structuring, execution, and ongoing monitoring of credit investments for ’s General Investment Account with an accent on fundamental credit analysis, strategic relative value across credit asset classes, and transaction execution. Focus on building investment recommendations and memos for Investment Committees while managing complex private credit structures and counterpart relationships.

Salary: $144,800-$190,000

What you will do
- Execute fundamental credit and strategic analysis to assess relative value across credit asset classes and inform GIA portfolio decisions.
- Conduct macro, asset class, and sector research to evaluate new opportunities and support real-time investment decisions.
- Prepare and present investment recommendations, memos, and presentations for Investment Committees and senior leadership.
- Lead cross-functional transaction execution by partnering with external counterparties and internal teams (operations, legal, accounting, risk) to resolve complex structural or legal issues.
- Maintain and develop relationships with affiliate and third-party asset managers, oversee holdings, and provide actionable recommendations to Portfolio Managers and senior leadership.
- Contribute to the collaborative investment process by sharing views and analysis with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and investment leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in credit underwriting, investment banking, corporate development, asset management, or a related investment role.
- 5+ years of experience in financial modeling, enterprise valuation, and fundamental credit analysis.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or CFA designation.
- Experience structuring, underwriting, and executing private credit transactions (e.g., leveraged loans, CLOs, CFOs, ABS, convertible notes).
- Experience reviewing complex transaction documents (e.g., LPAs, indentures, subscription agreements) with transaction counsel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to Investment Committees or senior leaders.
- Strong Excel modeling skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
