Chief Information Security Officer (AI Healthcare)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States

Base salary: $243,000–$365,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Set the security strategy and roadmap for external products and internal corporate systems.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a 20-person team of technical security professionals.
• Scale AI-driven security tools and automation with engineering teams.
• Strengthen operational security, product security, and data privacy across regulated healthcare platforms.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Clinical, Regulatory and Quality, IT, Legal, Finance, and Commercial teams.
• Represent the security organization with customers and industry security organizations.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressive management experience in security engineering or information security organizations.
• At least 10 years of technical experience in software, security, and related tools.
• At least 5 years of experience with cloud and enterprise security systems, including customer pre-sales and post-sales engagements.
• Experience establishing security strategy and integrating security teams with software engineering.
• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks including ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Experience with Okta, CrowdStrike, Wiz, Snyk, equivalent tools, and hyperscaler platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of healthcare experience, including familiarity with HIPAA and state consumer health privacy laws.
• Board-level exposure and leadership confidence.
• Experience with FedRAMP and GDPR.
• Leadership responsibility for governance, risk, and compliance functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, or equivalent experience.
