Security Solutions Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid position based in Fleet, UK, with frequent travel within the UK and Germany.

What you will do

• Lead internal security assessments and ensure system compliance for accreditation readiness.
• Define security requirements and develop secure design solutions aligned with MOD and Government standards.
• Proactively monitor and maintain security hygiene, including patching and configuration updates.
• Perform risk assessments and prepare Security Risk Balance Cases (RBC) for complex incidents.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to define and oversee system hardening baselines.
• Act as the central technical point of contact for customer security managers and national authorities.

Requirements

• Must be a UK National with active SC clearance (or held within the last 12 months).
• Must be willing and able to achieve Developed Vetting clearance.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a focus on Information Security.
• Proven experience in security architecture and preparing systems for accreditation.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 and UK/NATO security standards (e.g., JSP 440).
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in German.
• Experience within the Naval or Defence sector.
