What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve core ML platform infrastructure, including feature stores and real-time model scoring services.
• Drive architectural decisions for complex initiatives to ensure solutions are scalable, testable, and maintainable.
• Partner with data scientists and product stakeholders to translate business needs into durable platform capabilities.
• Set high standards for code quality and system reliability through exemplary contributions and code reviews.
• Mentor other engineers through design feedback and onboarding, and participate in the hiring process.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States (excluding Hawaii).
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend, platform, or infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in Python and proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong experience building high-availability distributed systems in cloud environments (GCP or AWS).
• Experience with ML systems from an infrastructure perspective, including deployment, serving, and monitoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps tooling or feature store architectures.
• Proficiency with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow and data processing frameworks like Spark or Beam.
• Background in building data-intensive or real-time systems.
