CECL / IFRS 9 Provisioning Owner (Fintech): Leading the impairment provisioning framework under US GAAP and IFRS 9 to ensure IPO readiness and financial reporting integrity with an accent on regulatory compliance, audit management, and allowance for credit losses (ACL) calculation. Focus on designing COSO-compliant financial controls, interpreting statistical model outputs, and coordinating the Governance Committee.
Location: Worldwide. Flexible work from one of the company hubs (Mexico, Serbia, Cyprus, Spain) or remote. Relocation support to these hubs is available.

What you will do
- Lead calculation and planning of the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) under CECL and IFRS 9.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all audit and regulatory reviews related to impairment provisioning.
- Maintain and refine the methodological framework to ensure processes are data-driven and documented.
- Partner with IT and Internal Controls to design and operate COSO-compliant financial controls.
- Lead the CECL/IFRS 9 Governance Committee, preparing materials and recording key decisions.
- Support Financial Reporting by providing data and narratives for MD&A, 10-K, and S-1 filings.
Requirements
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Deep technical expertise and hands-on experience with IFRS 9 (Impairment) and CECL (ASC 326).
- Proven experience managing Allowance for Credit Losses in banking or fintech environments.
- Demonstrated success leading complex audit engagements, preferably PCAOB.
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; FRM, CPA, or ACCA certification preferred.
- Understanding of the COSO framework.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with core banking or loan accounting systems.
- Experience in the design or testing of COSO framework controls.
