🌐 Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and responsible #CloudInfrastructureEngineer to build, manage, and improve our remote desktop services platform using rented dedicated servers and Proxmox virtualization.

This role focuses on creating reliable remote desktop service products for clients. You will be responsible for selecting suitable dedicated server providers, preparing bare-metal servers, configuring Proxmox, and maintaining stable, secure multi-client environments.

📋 Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Setup: Research, evaluate, and rent dedicated servers from external providers. Install, configure, and maintain Proxmox virtualization environments.

Environment Management: Create and manage Windows/Linux virtual machines tailored for client remote desktop use.

Networking & Security: Configure firewalls, VPNs, routing, NAT, VLANs, and access control rules. Implement strict system hardening and security monitoring.

User & Access Management: Manage user access, permissions, and isolated client-specific environments without relying on Active Directory.

Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor performance (CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth), manage resource allocation, and implement robust backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Troubleshooting & Documentation: Troubleshoot virtualization, connectivity, and performance issues. Maintain clear technical documentation for all setups and procedures.

🧠 Required Skills & Experience
Virtualization: Strong, hands-on experience with Proxmox VE.

Hardware Management: Experience managing rented dedicated servers or hosted bare-metal infrastructure.

Remote Desktop Solutions: Proven experience setting up Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), or secure remote access environments.

OS Administration: Solid understanding of both Linux (Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.

Networking: Strong grasp of core networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, NAT, and VLANs).

Security & Storage: Experience with firewalls, system hardening, storage planning (RAID, ZFS), and performance optimization.

Operations: Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and automated backup/recovery systems.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications
Automation & Scripting: Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, or PowerShell to automate VM deployment and configuration.

Advanced Networking: Familiarity with advanced routing protocols or software-defined networking (SDN) within Proxmox.

Alternative VDI Solutions: Experience with open-source thin-client solutions or alternative remote desktop protocols (e.g., Spice, RDP, VNC, RustDesk).

Provider Knowledge: Existing familiarity with major bare-metal and budget-friendly dedicated server providers (e.g., Hetzner, OVH, Leaseweb).
