hirify.global is a robotics company developing The Grid, a factory-scale platform designed to make small-batch electronics assembly radically more efficient.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and optimize both physical and software systems for a fully automated factory.
• Create and adapt PLC code (specifically Beckhoff TwinCat) under real-world production pressure.
• Configure and debug distributed GigE vision systems.
• Analyze end effector behavior and revise geometry to optimize throughput and reliability.
• Specify, test, and deploy sensors for monitoring chemical processes.
• Commission new robotic systems and debug control cabinets.

Requirements

• Proven experience building full robotic systems (as a student, founder, employee, or hobbyist).
• Ability to diagnose system-wide failures from first principles.
• Capability to prototype mechanical and software fixes on the fly.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with remote team members.
• Must be able to work full-time onsite at the central Cambridge facility.

Nice to have

• Experience programming and running CNC machinery.
• Design experience with chemical handling machinery or optics.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally Fusion 360.
