What you will do

• Implement open-ended research projects from initial concept through to production deployment.
• Continuously improve model design, internal tooling, and infrastructure.
• Leverage statistical analysis and data mining to develop profitable predictive trading models.
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, and engineers to solve market complexities.
• Apply ML expertise and market intuition to the quantitative research and monetization process.

Requirements

• PhD or Postdoc in a quantitative field with a strong publication record (ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, etc.).
• Strong background in modern deep learning and language modeling architectures (e.g., transformers, SSMs).
• Solid development skills in Python and/or C++.
• Proficiency with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and/or JAX.
• Must be based in or able to work in London.
• Reliable and predictable availability is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with HPC and distributed large model training.
• Knowledge of GPU performance optimization (CUDA or ROCm).
• Experience with end-to-end model development.
• Strong opinions on ML research best practices and infrastructure.
