What you will do

• Lead threat models and cybersecurity risk assessments for mobile apps and connected software systems.
• Review system architectures and recommend security controls for authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Guide engineering teams on mobile-specific controls such as secure storage, certificate validation, and application hardening.
• Develop cybersecurity documentation for regulatory submissions, including threat models and SBOMs, ensuring compliance with FDA and IEC 81001-5-1.
• Manage vulnerability investigations, remediation planning, and postmarket security activities.
• Mentor Product Security Engineers and drive improvements in security tooling and automation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience (or 5+ with an advanced degree).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with mobile application security, including iOS, Android, .NET MAUI, or Xamarin.
• Proficiency in threat modeling and security testing tools (SAST, SCA, IAST, DAST).
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, MASVS, PKI, JWT, and TLS.
• Must be based in or eligible to work in Galway, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical device cybersecurity, PSIRT, or coordinated vulnerability disclosure.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell.
• Cloud-connected application security experience.
