What you will do

• Elicit, document, and review functional safety requirements (ASIL) aligned with architectural definitions.
• Determine safety performance and execute safety analyses including HARA, FTA, FMEDA, FMEA, and STPA.
• Integrate machine learning considerations and cyber-security solutions into functional safety requirements.
• Define and coordinate verification and validation activities with internal partners.
• Drive safety integration concepts and evaluate the safety capabilities of complex supply parts.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced safety engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety-critical systems and standards such as ISO 26262 and SOTIF.
• Expertise in safety analysis methods (HARA, FTA, FMEDA, FMEA, STPA, Safety for AI).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Must be based in Bucharest, Romania.
• Willingness to travel internationally if required by project needs.

Nice to have

• Experience with multimodal sensor data handling, perception, and fusion principles.
• Strong technical leadership and coaching experience.
• Profound understanding of model-based development and state-of-the-art Safety & Cyber-Security tools.
