Business Development Manager – DEX

Full-time/Company: AFX

AFX is building a decentralized exchange (DEX). This role will drive adoption and growth of the DEX by building strategic partnerships, promoting API solutions, and onboarding institutional partners to increase trading volume and liquidity.

Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate, and close partnerships with VCs, market makers, hedge funds, quant firms, wallets, DeFi protocols, AI agent platforms, and other strategic partners.
- Lead the institutional growth strategy to bring meaningful trading volume through new and existing relationships.
- Promote DEX API solutions and develop customized value propositions that align with partner needs.
- Manage the full partnership lifecycle: sourcing, negotiation, onboarding, and long-term relationship management.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and user demand to identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations to align BD efforts with the product roadmap and campaigns.
- Represent AFX at crypto conferences, investor roundtables, and institutional meetups.

Requirements:

- 2+ years of BD, partnerships, or institutional sales experience within CEX/DEX, prime brokerage, hedge funds, or market maker environments.
- Strong network across VCs, market makers, funds, quant firms, and institutional trading partners.
- Proven track record of closing high-value institutional deals and delivering measurable trading volume.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Highly results-driven and able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced remote environment.
- Deep understanding of crypto market structure, perpetual DEX models, and institutional trading dynamics.
- Fluency in English.

Nice to have:

- Experience with perpetual DEX ecosystems (e.g., GMX, dYdX, Hyperliquid, Vertex).
- Existing relationships with leading ecosystem projects (e.g., Solana).
- Experience in API-driven businesses.
