What you will do

• Own the full external vendor portfolio for data quality, including sourcing, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Negotiate commercial terms, SOWs, and budgets while managing surge capacity.
• Set and enforce SLAs and acceptance criteria to ensure external output matches internal golden set standards.
• Direct project coordinators and serve as the senior owner for projects rotated to external support.
• Build and maintain vendor scorecards to track throughput, quality, and inter-annotator agreement.
• Partner with engineering and ML stakeholders to translate technical requirements into vendor-ready specifications.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data quality, data labeling operations, or ML data operations.
• Proven track record of end-to-end vendor management, including contracting and SLA enforcement.
• Experience negotiating commercial terms and running vendor business reviews.
• Ability to define quality standards and audit processes for external teams.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical ML requirements into operational guidance.
• Leadership experience managing cross-functional workstreams and indirect reports.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling multi-vendor or multi-region labeling operations.
• Background in robotics, autonomous systems, LLMs, or physical AI data.
• Experience with golden set and ground truth construction.
• Experience standing up new vendor operations in international markets.
