Application Security Director

What you will do

• Lead the strategic direction and daily development of the Application Security and Cloud Security teams.
• Build and implement a comprehensive application security program across cloud-based applications.
• Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, and secure design reviews for cloud platforms.
• Oversee security controls across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
• Partner with engineering, product management, customer support, and other business units to embed security throughout product development and cloud deployments.
• Drive vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, red teaming, fuzz testing, encryption, IAM, network security, and cloud-native security operations.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in security architecture, software development, cloud security, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Engineering background required.
• Strong experience with AWS and Azure, cloud services, DevOps, orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, and cloud-native security tools including CSPM and CWPP.
• Experience leading high-performing security teams and communicating complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence cross-functional security initiatives.

Nice to have

• Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or OSCP.
• Knowledge of cryptographic principles, encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and cloud key and secrets management.
