Director Software Engineering (Cloud Security)

Location: Onsite, with an expectation to work primarily from an HPE office

What you will do

• Define and lead the cloud security operations strategy for SaaS products across AWS and GCP.
• Build and mature cloud security posture management programs and operational capabilities.
• Lead security operations for large-scale, distributed, AI-powered SaaS platforms.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, IT, Legal, Corporate Security, and executive leadership to align priorities and accountability.
• Review security architectures, investigate incidents, audit IAM configurations, and prototype solutions when needed.
• Lead executive communication and response during major security incidents.

Requirements

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 3+ years leading multiple teams or managers.
• Deep expertise securing AWS and/or GCP cloud services.
• Experience securing Kubernetes infrastructure and virtual machines using infrastructure as code.
• Experience with encryption standards, IAM, RBAC, security protocols, WAF, and CIS benchmarks.
• Ability to read and write code, with Python preferred, and to engage in technical problem-solving.
• Experience building security programs, leading major incident response, and operating autonomously.
