Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Woodridge, IL 2 times a week

What you will do

• Engineer and maintain integrations between checkout kiosks and customer payment, point-of-sale, and enterprise systems.
• Develop software bridging embedded devices, payment terminals, and backend services.
• Build reusable integration infrastructure, tooling, and libraries to accelerate future deployments.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues spanning firmware, networking, OS, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with internal teams and enterprise customers to troubleshoot production issues and deliver technical solutions.
• Prototype and deploy new payment devices and peripherals into production environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant coding experience
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Excellent knowledge of Python, C++, or TypeScript
• Ability to commute to Woodridge, IL 2 times per week
• Experience building production-ready code for large-scale user environments.

Nice to have

• Experience building software from firmware to application layer for public-facing devices.
• Working experience with hardware interaction such as payment systems, POS, or fuel controllers.
• Strong proficiency with Python, C, and C++.
• Experience demoing features directly to customers.
