What you will do

• Participate in the architecture and software design of bioinformatics solutions.
• Implement complex bioinformatic algorithms using efficient, reusable C/C++ code.
• Analyze algorithmic complexity and invent methods for high-performance execution.
• Develop and maintain pipeline infrastructures for on-prem and cloud environments.
• Manage performance tuning, system integrations, testing, and bug fixing.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a senior software engineer.
• 5+ years of experience working with C/C++.
• Proven experience implementing analytical algorithms in low-level code.
• Familiarity with public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of workflow management systems like Airflow or Prefect.

Nice to have

• MS degree or advanced studies in relevant fields.
• Experience with bioinformatics algorithms.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, R, or Rust.
• Experience with pipeline languages such as WDL, Nextflow, or Snakemake.
