Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Quality Inspector (Aerospace): Establishing and implementing quality standards for the production of Mega-class satellites with an accent on First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and precision measurement of structural and electrical components. Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.

Salary: $30 - $45 per hour + equity

What you will do

• Perform First Article Inspections (FAIRs) of CNC machined and waterjet parts.
• Inspect large metallic parts using precision tools such as CMMs, calipers, height and bore gauges.
• Conduct visual inspections of PCBAs, harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Perform inspections of power system hardware including solar modules and battery cells.
• Maintain accurate documentation within ERP and MES systems.
• Support final walkdown inspections of integrated satellites and inventory management.

Requirements

• 4+ years of quality inspection experience in engineering, supply chain, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment and techniques.
• Experience with AS9100 or similar quality management systems.
• Must be a "U.S. Person" (citizen or lawful permanent resident) per ITAR regulations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CAD and PLM software (NX, Teamcenter).
• Proficiency in reviewing drawings according to ASME Y14.5.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
