What you will do
- Manage complex product backlogs and ensure alignment with overall product strategy and technical roadmaps.
- Translate customer feedback and business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Lead SAFe/Agile ceremonies, including PI planning, iteration planning, and backlog refinement.
- Collaborate with another SPO to co-pilot priorities and decisions for a large multifunctional team.
- Balance the delivery of new features with the management of technical debt and system modernization.
- Coordinate efforts between business analysts, developers, and QA testers to ensure high-quality delivery.
Requirements
- Fluency in both French and English (written and oral) is required.
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Product Owner, Scrum Master, or in a similar Agile leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale backlogs (50+ items) and leading multi-team Agile efforts.
- Proficiency with Agile management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience or strong aptitude for actuarial science, pension plans, insurance, or financial services.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada and pass a Government of Canada Personnel Security Screening.
Nice to have
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Knowledge of modern frontend stacks such as Angular or JavaScript.
- Prior experience working with legacy systems or actuarial architectures.
- Experience with growing or restructuring technical teams.
