What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality SAP ABAP applications.
• Collaborate with functional analysts to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Develop modular, reusable, and well-documented ABAP programs following development standards.
• Optimize application scalability, performance, recovery, and long-term data storage.
• Debug and resolve complex functional and performance-related production issues.
• Ensure security, authorization, and data sensitivity requirements are integrated into designs.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Proficiency in OOABAP, Structured Programming, Dialog Programming, User Exits, and Enhancements.
• Strong experience creating technical design documents and performing unit testing.
• Ability to independently develop complex applications and facilitate technical discussions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Northbrook, IL

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP BTP and SAP Build.
• Experience with SAP ERP modules: SD, MM, and FI.
• Proficiency with SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, CDS Views, and AMDP Views.
• Hands-on experience with IDOCs, ALE, Workflow, BAPIs, and APIs.
• Experience across the full SAP implementation lifecycle.
