What you will do

• Develop and ship Android features from specification through to release.
• Write clean, tested Kotlin code using Jetpack Compose and scalable architecture patterns.
• Triage and resolve bugs to maintain app stability and performance for over 1 million users.
• Balance feature roadmaps against urgent deadlines and communicate risks early.
• Participate in code reviews, pairing sessions, and 1:1s to refine engineering craft.
• Deliberately integrate AI tools into the workflow to accelerate drafting and iteration.

Requirements

• Fluency in Kotlin and Android fundamentals (activities, fragments, lifecycle, coroutines).
• Hands-on experience building UIs with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs.
• Foundational understanding of SOLID principles and MVVM architecture.
• Ability to use AI tools to increase velocity while maintaining full ownership of delivered code.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in Toronto or Saskatoon.

Nice to have

• Personal or published applications on Google Play.
• Experience with Java or Swift.
• Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or unit/UI testing frameworks.
• Interest in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
