Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Suitland, MD for onsite work (hybrid, 1 day/week). United States citizenship is required to obtain the necessary Public Trust security clearance.

Salary: $115,000 – $160,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Administer and optimize AWS RDS PostgreSQL and Oracle RDS instances, including performance tuning and backup strategies.
• Manage on-premises Oracle Exadata environments, including RAC, ASM, and RMAN operations.
• Automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Ensure security compliance with federal standards such as NIST 800-53 and RMF.
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance across hybrid infrastructures.
• Monitor enterprise workloads using AWS CloudWatch, OEM, and other performance tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience supporting AWS RDS PostgreSQL and Oracle RDS in production.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field.
• Operational experience with Oracle Exadata (RAC, ASM, RMAN, multitenant).
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with scripting (Shell, Python, Bash) and CI/CD automation.

Nice to have

• Oracle and/or AWS cloud certifications.
• Experience with OCI Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC).
• Knowledge of ELK stack and enterprise monitoring tools.
