What you will do

• Define test strategies, quality gates, and Definition of Done for two-week agile delivery iterations, ensuring releases meet government acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain ETL test plans, test cases, test data, and validation criteria for functional correctness, reliability, and data quality.
• Lead adoption of automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, and user-facing functional tests) executed via CI/CD to prevent regressions.
• Manage code coverage measurement and drive progress toward a minimum 90% coverage standard with real-time dashboard visibility.
• Coordinate IV&V and UAT cycles, ensuring findings are addressed and resubmitted within contractual timelines and iteration thresholds.
• Prepare complete release documentation for staging/production releases and verify data quality standards (record/field loads, XSD validation, duplicate prevention, approved quality checks).

Requirements

• Residing in the United States and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Federal Public Trust security clearance (Moderate Risk).
• 8+ years of software testing/QA experience, including leading QA activities for delivery teams.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, and traceable test documentation for large, data-centric systems.
• Experience with code quality tooling: code coverage measurement, static analysis, and dependency scanning.
• English: excellent command of written and spoken English to produce clear, complete, government-ready documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with formal IV&V processes in a federal environment.
• Experience testing AWS-based data platforms and ETL pipelines (Glue, Spark, Athena/Trino, Airflow, S3).
• Proficiency in Python or SQL for test automation and data validation.
• Familiarity with OWASP ASVS, secure development practices, and federal compliance requirements (including Section 508 and the Privacy Act of 1974).
• ISTQB or other QA certifications; testing experience in regulated industries.
