API Workflow Developer (Cybersecurity): Designing, building, and maintaining cybersecurity automation workflows and integrations within an enterprise SOAR environment with an accent on API development and Python scripting. Focus on translating manual security processes into scalable automation, developing REST API integrations, and ensuring system reliability across SIEM, EDR, and GRC platforms.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain SOAR playbooks and automated response actions.
  • Translate manual cybersecurity and compliance processes into scalable automation workflows.
  • Develop REST API integrations between the SOAR platform and SIEM, EDR, and ticketing systems.
  • Write and maintain Python scripts, custom connectors, and reusable automation components.
  • Troubleshoot integration defects, API errors, and platform performance issues.
  • Collaborate with security analysts and engineers to define automation use cases and requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in API development, workflow automation, or security engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with SOAR platforms like Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Tines, or Swimlane.
  • Proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and API integration.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth 2.0, and authentication methods.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance if required.
