What you will do

• Lead the entire design lifecycle, from preliminary risk assessments and concept creation to final schematics and specifications.
• Perform critical engineering calculations, including video storage requirements, network bandwidth analysis, and power load modeling.
• Collaborate with civil, electrical, and structural engineering teams to ensure architectural and infrastructure alignment.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging security innovations such as advanced imaging and perimeter intrusion analytics.
• Apply network topologies and cybersecurity principles to harden physical security systems against digital threats.
• Mentor junior designers and engineers on documentation standards and innovative design practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in planning and designing enterprise-grade physical security systems.
• Expert knowledge of access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection hardware and software.
• Proficiency in design tools including Bluebeam, Revit/BIM, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, specification development, and cost estimating.
• Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Orlando, FL

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CPP, PSP, or RCDD.
• Experience designing security for Data Centers or high-reliability industrial/institutional facilities.
• Experience leading project design teams and managing resources.
