What you will do

  • Provide technical support and relationship management for existing enterprise customers in Japan, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Partner with Sales and Solutions teams on pre-sales technical discussions, solution design, and API consultations.
  • Guide new enterprise customers through the process of API integration, implementation, and onboarding.
  • Translate complex Japanese business and technical requirements into clear specifications for the global engineering team.
  • Collaborate with local compliance and operations to ensure alignment with JFSA rules and local settlement practices.
  • Lead end-to-end technical sales engagements, including discovery calls, RFPs, security questionnaires, and demo execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical, sales engineering, or solutions engineering roles supporting B2B/enterprise customers, ideally in API or SaaS companies.
  • Strong proficiency with REST APIs, SDKs, WebSockets, Postman, Grafana, and JSON.
  • Native or business-level Japanese for communication with partners, vendors, and regulators.
  • Business-level English for collaboration with global cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, understandable terms.
  • Self-starter mindset capable of driving projects to completion within a startup environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fintech, capital markets, brokerage, or financial APIs, specifically within Japan or APAC.
  • Knowledge of NISA, JFSA regulatory context, and Japanese brokerage settlement operations.
  • Experience closing enterprise deals alongside Account Executives.
  • US securities qualifications such as SIE or Series 7.
  • Familiarity with FIX protocol, OpenAPI, ReadMe, or Metabase.
