What you will do

• Implement and maintain the Global Safety Management System (SMS) across multiple sites.
• Identify hazards and lead risk assessment and mitigation activities.
• Conduct annual safety audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Deliver safety training and mentor personnel across training centres.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to reduce operational and corporate risks.
• Support the achievement of Safety Performance Targets (SPTs).

Requirements

• Aviation background in flight operations, training, safety, engineering, or air traffic.
• Experience applying structured safety and risk concepts (hazard identification, mitigation).
• Ability to work on-site minimum 3 days/week in Amsterdam or Madrid.
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability for limited travel across Europe.

Nice to have

• Experience with SMS in aviation or safety-critical industries.
• Knowledge of simulator/training centre operations (FSTD environment).
• Experience with audits, investigations, or structured corrective action planning.
• Additional European language capability.
