Senior Financial Reporting & Control Analysis

What you will do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts for the UK insurance company and business units under IFRS and applicable regulatory standards.
• Produce and review management accounts and statutory reporting outputs for accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Manage audit deliverables, serve as a key contact for auditors, and resolve audit queries and issues.
• Own and improve financial processes, documentation, and internal controls.
• Identify and implement reporting process and system improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Perform financial analysis and support finance projects during month-end, quarter-end, and audit cycles.

Requirements

• Fluent business-level English with clear and confident stakeholder communication.
• Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Strong experience with financial reporting, management accounts, and tight close cycles.
• Experience managing audit deliverables and working independently with auditors.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work accurately with complex data under pressure.

Nice to have

• Insurance industry experience, ideally including IFRS 17.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud financial modules.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation and reporting tools.
• Excel automation and efficiency improvement experience.
