What you will do

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts under IFRS and regulatory standards.
• Produce and review management accounts and statutory reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage audit deliverables and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Own and enhance financial processes, documentation, and internal control frameworks.
• Identify and implement system and process improvements to increase reporting efficiency.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and contribute to various finance projects.

Requirements

• Must be based in Lisbon, Portugal.
• Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Strong experience in financial reporting and managing tight close cycles.
• Fluent business-level English (C1) required for stakeholder communication.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

• Insurance industry experience, specifically with IFRS 17.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud financial modules.
• Exposure to data visualization tools like Power BI.
