What you will do

• Take ownership of key accounting processes including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, monthly accruals, and fixed asset management.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities to deliver reliable reporting aligned with HGB requirements.
• Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and act as the primary contact during internal and external audits.
• Drive improvements and automation in financial workflows in collaboration with Finance and DataOps.
• Execute project-based financial initiatives to strengthen finance infrastructure alongside the Director of Financial Controlling.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of HGB and German tax regulations.
• 3+ years of experience in financial accounting with end-to-end closing responsibility, including 1+ years in a high-growth tech or SaaS company.
• Certified training as Bilanzbuchhalter and a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in DATEV, Chargebee, and Excel, combined with solid AI literacy.
• Excellent German skills and confident English communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex topics such as VAT, transfer pricing, or intercompany accounting.
