Senior General Ledger Accountant

Senior General Ledger Accountant (Finance/SAP FI/CO): Ensuring accurate financial reporting and statutory financial statements in an international semiconductor company with an accent on HGB, IFRS, accounting controls, and external audits. Focus on balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, financial systems development, and driving digitalization and process improvements.

What you will do
- Prepare and quality-assure financial reporting and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and act as a subject matter expert for accounting and reporting topics.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements while driving continuous improvements.
- Perform analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and management reporting.
- Support the stability and development of financial systems and reporting tools as a key user, including digitalization initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation in a mid-sized or international business environment.
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS; US GAAP knowledge is advantageous.
- Understanding of tax and regulatory requirements, with experience working with auditors and tax advisors.
- Hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO and Microsoft Office applications.
- Confident English communication and good written and spoken German are required.
