Senior C++ Software Engineer (Cloud Video)

Location: Hybrid (Budapest, Hungary) - 2 days in office per week

Salary: HUF 1.5M - 2.2M per month

What you will do

• Design and implement components for cloud video frameworks and tooling platforms.
• Develop and optimize A/V processing, streaming technologies, and low-latency systems.
• Perform field testing and support deployments at live sporting events.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural and design decisions.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in modern C++ (ideally up to C++20).
• Experience writing multithreaded, performance-optimised code.
• Required experience with networking (TCP/IP stack, streaming protocols).
• Familiarity with Git, Visual Studio, and debugging workflows.
• Must be based in or able to work from Budapest, Hungary.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
• Experience with FFmpeg, audio/video processing, or multimedia applications.
• Passion for sport or experience in high-performance environments.
