What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-performance software for capturing trading transactions and calculating positions.
• Build near real-time systems to provide accurate views of P&L and performance for investment teams.
• Design and implement distributed, data-intensive applications using Java and messaging systems.
• Collaborate with hedge fund business stakeholders to transform middle office workflows.
• Optimize system architecture for scalability, reliability, and standardized data interfaces.
• Solve complex technical and business problems independently through reverse engineering and smart design.

Requirements

• Must be based in Spain, Georgia, Serbia, Poland, Cyprus, Portugal, or Armenia.
• 8+ years of programming experience, including 5+ years of expert Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Java Core and multithreading.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar real-time messaging systems.
• Expert SQL and database query skills.
• Experience developing distributed, large-scale, data-intensive applications.
• Financial services industry experience is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of financial domains such as transactions, P&L, and performance management.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with distributed caching technologies like Memcached or Ignite.
