What you will do

• Create photo-realistic texture maps (diffuse, specular, bump, displacement) for characters, props, and environments.
• Utilize reference photography and digital painting techniques to achieve high levels of surface detail.
• Collaborate with Modeler and Look Development departments to ensure optimized UVs and effective shader setups.
• Iterate on asset quality and realism based on feedback from Supervisors and Art Directors.
• Troubleshoot texture and shading issues, providing creative and technical solutions.
• Maintain organized project files and naming conventions according to studio pipeline standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years (Mid) or 5+ years (Senior) of professional experience as a Texture Artist in VFX, feature film, or high-end episodic production.
• Expert proficiency in Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Mari, or Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows and material properties.
• Strong artistic eye for color, detail, surface properties, and weathering.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team.
• Must be based in the UK.
